Craig&#039;s course is a good recommendation. It&#039;s a very nice way to learn the fretboard fast. 

I also just posted a pretty detailed article about how to make sure you actually PRACTICE when learning scales and all the other stuff that most beginners think is &quot;BORING!&quot;
