I’m sure it has happened to you at some stage. In fact, it’s almost inevitable and it’s bloody annoying.
You’re strumming away happily and next thing – whoops – where’s my pick?
Oh no – it’s inside the guitar…
The two most common reactions to this are holding the guitar upside down above your head and shaking furiously while sprouting profanities or carefully moving your guitar while trying to guide the pick ever so slowly towards the sound hole.
This happened to me a lot when I started playing – not so much anymore – and it was really infuriating. Up until now I really hadn’t thought about whether an effective anti-pick-in-guitar method existed but I was looking on youtube the other day and found this really good video.
